Trust the Process

Image
The 20s are all about having faith in yourself and others. Belief is one of the most powerful motivators known to man. Whether you're religious/spiritual or not, we all acknowledge that some things are true. There are times when we have to let go, take a back seat, and let things work out. We may not see the big picture but we play our part and things often fall into place. When we step back and take a look, the cartography is more amazing than we ever could have imagined. Are you ready to trust the process?  The phrase trust the process may hands down be the saying makes the most annoyed for a variety of reasons. You know that one of the things I have the most difficulty with is following others when I'm not in control, and also trusting people (but those #trustissues tho). Nonetheless I'm expected to fall in lone, march on, and carry out orders. Well the difference is this isn't Call of Duty. I'm not a soldier obeying orders. I'm not unaware of the great...

Deprivation State

Being a teenager is all about getting your priorities straight. A wise man once said, you make time what you feel is important. If you say you're busy that could mean that you're swamped like a bog in the bayou or that you honestly don't care enough to make time for what's being asked of you. A lot of times we say that other things are more important and that we cannot give our precious time to anything else. If it matters to you, you'll find the time and motivation to do something about it - just don't patronize others for feeling the same thing for a differ. I'm lacking in the sleep department, and need to make it my top item on my list of things to do - no more deprivation state).   You all know that I do the absolute utmost on a daily basis. I really should probably dial it down and get my life together before I just keel over and pass out ... permanently, but like Caesar (the great leader, not the salad) I'm way too ambitious to ever slow down....

Benefit of the Doubt

Being a teenager is all about looking for the best in people. It's about looking past the surface into something deeper. It's not that stereotypes are false, it's just that they don't tell the whole story. When you group people and write them off for what they look like, how they sound, and what you take them as, you miss out on the opportunity to possible meet an amazing person. It's crazy, people are never what they appear to be just like those weird car mirror messages. You've got to open minded, ready to be mind blown, and give people the benefit of the doubt. Let it be known that I won my election. I'm officially the next president of UVM's IRA (Inter-Residence Association). You all know I was called by the current president, Knight, and I was kind of worried because he said we needed to "talk." I ran unopposed but still, I was like holy hell (oxymoron) - something happened. He tells me I've got the position and I just flip out, y...
