Skyward Bound

Image
The 20s are all about hitting the road (or in this case the air). A change of scenery is something a much needed experience. Leaving where you are and just going somewhere can bring a whole new perspective to your life just when you need it most. In college, counting down to breaks is pretty much everyone's unofficial favorite passtimes (besides you know boozing, knocking boots, and smoking any/everything #shadethrow). When you take off, you're being whisked off somewhere new. We are skyward bound. There's just something about travelling that gets me. Every single time I'm in an airport I always see and hear the most ridiculous things of all time. The randomness of it all is kind of unreal. As I write this post, I'm where else but sitting in an airport waiting to board. It's 10AM and some dude is hardcore munching on some very potent smelling French fries and squirting ketchup straight into his mouth from a bottle - tell me this is not real life. Travel stor...

Back to Business

Image
Being a teenager is all about is all finding your groove again. It's about going back to where you belong and the place where everybody knows your name (wait, ewe - Cheers is for old people). It's about getting back to where you belong and figuring out your life once more. College is where you need to be and that's why you've got to rally your ambition and bring everything you've got. It's back to business. The new semester has finally arrived which means it's time to lock it in and get ready to bring it. I'm talking giving it all you've got, no half-assing, no pretending and no bull-crapping. It's time to buckle down, get in gear and get it together. Like Jeremy Renner in any movie before he turns into a badass and unleashes a big ole can of whoop-ass on entire legions of people, get turnt up and go ham. In all seriousness, it's up to you to set the tone of the the semester and that starts with these first few days. That means attending ...

Coming Clean

Image
Being a teenager is all about self-evaluation. It's about reflection and analyzing yourself. Who else knows you and your motives better than you? Why did we do all the thing we did this semester? What happened to us? Where could we have done better, and where did we do really well? It's like those professor evals where you get revenge on your professor for trying to ruin your life, but the awkward part it - this time you've only got yourself to blame. Start coming clean. Coming clean means being real with yourself and everyone else around you about what's gone on. It's all about checking yourself and coming on clean. Watch the vlog entry here: Let me come clean about how I actually spent the last days of my sophomore fall semester at the University of Vermont. Monday morning started with the evil torture that was my organic chemistry final - let's just say, chem and I are never ever getting back together. I was such a mess afterwards, but off to the lit...

Up in the Air

Image
Being a teenager is all about rolling with the punches. It's about being able to take things in stride and take them as they come. Things never go as planned, the sooner you learn that the better off you'll be. As teens were an adaptable sort, legit everything is NBD. Don't get flustered by a change of plans, just go with it. Everything's up in the air. For those of you who don't know, I've got quite a bloggable history of crazy travel stories. Here's another one, get ready for more airline hijinks - this is up in the air. Sunday, I'd just finished my conference craziness (missed those tales read  Conference Crazy & Sassy Snap ) and got dropped off at Rochester airport at like 8:30am. Even before I got to the airport, I received a flight update that my connecting flight from DC to Dayton, OH was going to be delayed by 4 hours. I was like whatever, so I checked in, turned in my piece if baggage and proceeded through the security checkpoint. I ha...
