#Realness

Being a teenager is all about getting real. It's about making tough decisions, coming to realizations, and speak your own personal truths. We as people, especially teens are an interesting group. We always know what we really want, or what we really need - but we'll deny the truth, pretend it's not there, and force things to be a certain way, even though we internally know they should be different. Let the truth run wild, and screw fighting it. You know what you would rather be doing, do it. This is #realness. After rereading the opening part of this post it makes it sound like I'm coming out or something - whoops, sorry if that was super misleading - this huge reference is about changing your major. Dang, this is so big it's like the Sopranos ended and just cut to black, when Beyoncé killed the Super Bowl and shut the lights out, or when Teen Wolf season 2 conveniently (and freaking Avatar: the Legend of Korra) wrapped up with an unnecessary happy ending. Ice Cold

Being a teenager is all about knowing your own personal temperature. No I'm not talking about playing doctor and shoving a thermometer up your arse, or under your tongue or the awkwardness that is under your armpits (those roller-head ons are cool, but weird because it's like applying nonexistent deodorant to your forehead). There's always those awkward moments where you forget to brighten up and you walk into a room and shut everyone down. Your tone of voice, your body l...

Frozen Solid

Being a teenager is all about getting through Mother Nature's rough patch otherwise known as winter. It's a tough time for all of us. In addition to our classically overwhelming adolescent day jobs we gave ti deal with the ultimate temperature (couldn't help myself) tantrum. When you literally dread going outside because it's totally frigid, you know you have a legitimate problem on your hands. But you can only stay couped up like a Sarah Palin wannabe Inuit abominable snowman for so long (oh I went there). It's time to muster up the courage to break the ice - we're frozen solid. Okay , this blog post is ridiculously long, but I had a lot to say (as always). It's winter and no one wants to go outside. That's perfectly fine but when you do start starving and can't the mild hunger pains anymore you're going to have to embrace the winter. I'm telling you a pair of boots is highly necessary. Sneakers and other footwear can only take you so f...
