Being a teenager is all about doing things differently. Second chances aren't always given so when you do get one it's imperative you make the most of it. Second semester has more than begun and the first impressions are being unveiled like the hulking mess that Leah Dunham's mess of a dress at the Gold Globes (she took hours to walk on stage with that cocoon of marooning nonsense). This time it's going to be different, but only if you take an active role in making it so. This is the second time around. Starting school after being away on winter break has got to be one of the hardest things you ever do as a teenager. Honestly, sitting at home, eating and sleeping - amongst doing a whole lot of nothing makes even thinking about going to class a mind-numbing concept. Well it happened and school is more than back on. Being a teenager means that college is a big change. Most people are used to having their own room, yelling at their parents and siblings to get out of their room, and being able to be alone whenevs. College is a little bit different, unless you've got the gwap to spring for a private single, with an en suite bathroom, you're most likely going to have someone else, or possibly a shat ton of people all up in your space. Have no fear, communal bathrooms, sharing bedrooms and all that jazz are nothing to worry about. As teens, we're able to adjust and start doing things, suite style. Let's start with your roommate. Y'all may or may not have met, but hopefully you've been either super sweet or at least civil. On move-in day, it's imperative that you beat that/those sucker(s) to your damn room. You want it all, the best bed, the best stuff, and first pick at your space. It's like every season of MTV's Real World or the Challenges or Big Brother where ...

Being a teenager is all about the unbearable awkward moments in your life. It's the summer and now that I'm done with high school, I'm all about looking forward to college. I went to orientation and I've still got questions. There's a ton of questions that still haven't been answered. Like can people handle me, and what is and is not okay. One of the questions I stupidly asked was, "So do you guys celebrate birthdays" and I meant like do floor throw parties, and of course everyone else in my little group laughed, but this one chick snidely answered, "No, unless you want your professor to bake you cupcakes, you're friends take care of that."
