Dream

"Every great dream begins with a dreamer. Always remember, you have within you the strength, the patience, and the passion to reach for the stars to change the world." Harriet Tubman Do you dream? Do your dreams scare you? Are you dreams wondrous, magnificent, awe-inspiring? Do your dreams seem phantasmagorical, sublime, or surreal? Dreams in this literal and figurative connotations are significant to our experiences. Dreams let us imagine worlds, lives, and instances where the impossible becomes plausible. Dreams are critical to our grasping of what we are capable of. What do our dreams say about us? Are we paying attention? Are we noticing patterns? Are we taking actions to interpret the messages our dreams are communicating to us? Dreams are a manifestation of our subconscious. The part of ourselves that lies deep beneath the surface and speaks to the essence of both who we are, who we're afraid of, and who we're striving to be. What happens when we take serio...

Adulthood

Truth - Life is complicated and life is simple. Life is a constant struggle to figure it all out. What's the meaning of life? What is our purpose? What are we meant to do here? Does any of this matter, are those questions irrelevant, and are we significant in any meaningful way? The further we go in life the more we have to wonder what it's all about. Does anyone know? Is it the same for everyone? What am I like this , and how did I end up here? "I am convinced that most people do not grow up...We marry and dare to have children and call that growing up. I think what we do is mostly grow old. We carry accumulation of years in our bodies, and on our faces, but generally our real selves, the children inside, are innocent and shy as magnolias." Maya Angelou What am I doing with my life ? There's that question that creeps up and threatens to strangle you in its clutches of  existential dread from time to time. It's that meta moment where you are painfull se...

All A Dream

Being a teenager is all about realizing where you are at all times. I don't know about you all but for me coming home for winter break has been one super weird experience. I like keep forgetting where the heck I am, and when I think about my first semester of college it doesnt' even seem like it actually happened. It's been totally odd to not be in a dorm room and live the collegiate life of books, dining halls, walking, and not knowing anyone. It's been a crazy experience so far and I really wonder what adventure next semester holds. For now, I'm wondering if it was all a dream. Do you want to know what I've been to for the past few days? I've been reconnecting with my high school friends and reacquainting myself with the suburbs. It was like I straight died, I don't know if people out here forget me or something but they're like shocked to see I'm still alive. I went to college, not shipped off to that no longer existent war in Iraq (#Oba...

Dream On

Being a teenager is all about cherishing your dreams. Without dreams and goals what do we really have to live for? Dreams are what keep us going and give us a target to aim for. I'm sure all of your parents have told you that "you can achieve anything you set your mind to" and I truly believe in that. It's the truth. If you work at anything and go that extra mile to make your dreams a reality then you've got your future on lock. College is the time to step it all up, and start chasing your dreams or else ... dream on. Monday morning I wake up, stretch out like an Abercrombie model posing on the beach. I hop up out of bed, and there's no need to turn my swag on, it just never shuts off. I get all dressed, look smoldering and savagely sexy, as always (please excuse my false conceited account of the morning) and finish the reading for HCOL, in the "Spirit Catches You and You Fall Down."  It's soon off to biology were we talk about these super cr...
