Truth - Comebacks can either a return to the spotlight or an embarrassing public guffaw. Thinking of people's careers, usually entertainers, there have been those who have disappeared from the public eye and returned stronger than ever and then there was some that wanted to make an appearance but were one hit wonders. Reinventing yourself works sometimes, and other times your run in the limelight fades out. Everyone wants to be relevant for the long run. It takes knowing yourself, how others perceive you, and keeping up with the times. This is return of the mess. The 20s are all about surviving your most difficult days. It is a real wonder how we make it through some of the things that we endure. Every single day we are challenged by obstacles, tasks, and people. There's so much to do and so little time to do it. Sometimes it seems like the world asks too much of us. People want or need to much of us. We make mistakes; we say the wrong things; and we fail. We fall. We lose. We break down. But that's the way the world works, you survive. The 20s are all about silence. It can be one of the weakest in some cases, and during other instances, the most powerful thing. Sometimes you just need some peace and quiet, to turn off the rest of the world, and to hear no one and nothing. College is unique in that it's a rare occasion that you're actually alone and disconnected. At any point in time it seems the solemnity of your solitude can be interrupted. There are reasons why we say do not disturb. One of my biggest pet peeves is people asking me how I'm doing. Let me tell you, if I look perturbed then almost every time your assumption of me not having it would be correct. Of course I'm going to say I'm okay - time what you're supposed to do. There's a time and a place and this is not it, so for now I'm perfectly fine. Being a teenager is all about living the summer life.  School is officially our for everyone and that means staying up late, sleeping in, tons of TV, bonfires, pool parties, bbqs, ice cream runs and everything in between. Being a teenager is all about making a fresh start. It's about taking a new opportunity and running wild with it. It's about creating a new beginning and going from there. The past is in the past, let's keep it there. Second semester is about to start, and that means even more time to spend choosing first day clothes,longing glances at all the scrumptious cuties you accidentally sit next to in class  (Van Wilder: Freshman Year w/ Kristen Cavallari anyone?), and the first tears from mountains of work.
