Divinely Inspired

Image
The 20s are all about figuring out what you're gifted with. I believe everyone had something special to offer the world. We're all here to bring something unique to the table and improve then place we live in. We're all needed, necessary and essential - never forget that. Dream big and don't stop chasing your dreams until they've come true. They're divinely inspired.  Hey Joe - what's the purpose of life. Oh you're probably wondering why I haven't answered the biggest question like ever before, but I've always known the answer. People go through life searching for it's meaning but I have my own patented theory on why we exist. I think that we all are sent down from wherever (my bet's on big G from heaven up above) unaware of what our gift and purpose is. We're here to search, learn and discover what's inside of us. That's what life is, figuring out what makes us special, and what we can do that no one else can. That's ...

Breaking Barriers

Image
Being a teenager is all about knocking down walls and forming connections. It's all about relationships and how you interact with other people. It's about making meaningful moments with other people and showing your humanity. People get so caught up in this cycle of writing people off or letting one thing about a person define this as good or bad. One of my new favorite quotes (from CW's epic called drama "Hidden Palms" is "We're not all good or all bad; life is not an either/or proposition." You have to work with people and all believe that people will surprise you for the better. Break down those barriers. Interacting with other people is a fundamental part of being human, and especially a teenager, if not more a college student. You spend tons of time meeting new people and remembering names and faces. It's a bombardment of tons of different information but it's all important. I think the funniest part about it is once you've been ...

Downpour

Image
Being a teenager is all getting through those abrupt disruptions that pass through your life. Summer showers are few and far between but lately when it does rain it's like all hell breaks loose. It's like Noah's great flood with that epic ark of a ship. With global warming and that whole drought thing, it's been a dry summer (in more ways than one) - sometimes a sudden downpour is just what you need.   Global warming, I don't really know whether or not believe it's true. Some people believe it's just apart of the natural hearing and cooling cycle of the Earth, whereas other people like former presidential candidate Al Gore or Bill Nye that eccentric science guy are absolutely adamant that it's like the biggest thing that we as the human race will deal with. I'm still undecided personally, but I think the whole holes in the ozone (like in the Avengers) and greenhouses makes a lotta sense. Besides the weather lately has been an absolute mess. Like ...

Where I Belong

Image
Being a teenager is all about figuring out where you belong. Life puts you in so many different situations, with random people, and it's up to you to find a place where you fit in. Then there's that one thing, like what happens when you don't fit in. Is that a problem, and if so for who? As teens, we're open to differences, but when we are stubborn, stuck in our ways, and closed off - we're the craziest people on Earth. Whether you like it or not this is where I belong. One of the questions people asked me a lot when I was at school was if I felt comfortable. I always thought it was a weird question, but as the year went on I became more and more aware of what it meant to feel comfortable. The other day my brother asked me if I've been somewhere and felt that I totally belonged there. It was a deep question, coming from him (lol, JK) and I told him that one of the few places where I've ever completely felt safe, secure, and free to be my total self was ou...
