Divinely Inspired

Image
The 20s are all about figuring out what you're gifted with. I believe everyone had something special to offer the world. We're all here to bring something unique to the table and improve then place we live in. We're all needed, necessary and essential - never forget that. Dream big and don't stop chasing your dreams until they've come true. They're divinely inspired.  Hey Joe - what's the purpose of life. Oh you're probably wondering why I haven't answered the biggest question like ever before, but I've always known the answer. People go through life searching for it's meaning but I have my own patented theory on why we exist. I think that we all are sent down from wherever (my bet's on big G from heaven up above) unaware of what our gift and purpose is. We're here to search, learn and discover what's inside of us. That's what life is, figuring out what makes us special, and what we can do that no one else can. That's ...

Suburbia

Image
Being a teenager is all about living the summer life.  School is officially our for everyone and that means staying up late, sleeping in, tons of TV, bonfires, pool parties, bbqs, ice cream runs and everything in between. It's time to get a whole lot of rowdy, do it up big and make a mess out of your neighborhood. We are everywhere and Nowheresville, USA. The housewives are desperate, the kids are privileged and lawns are manicured. Welcome to suburbia *Rihanna disturbia voice.  Literally  being in disturbia can drive you up the wall crazy. Being in the same place, not leaving the house for days on end, and seeing the same people you know you're trying to avoid like every single day just gets to you. There has to be a way to survive this wannabe heaven on Earth, actually it's something more sinister. White picket fences, minivans and lemonade stands - something's got to be wrong here. Behind every family are secrets, little known truths, and random quirks. Nobody...

Don't Wake Me Up

Image
Being a teenager is all about making bank when it comes to a deposit in your daily slumber. Summer is the best time to lay around, doze off and not be reprimanded for it. I'm urging you to sleep all you can and lallygag as long as possible. After college, there's no such thing as a summer vacation (unless you become a teacher) so it's best to live it up while you can. Let the music play, dim the lights, and post a sign - don't wake me up. First and foremost, for those of you who have been dying to know I am on twitter ( My Twitter Account) and instagram (@drjotengii) - so follow me there for even more teenage ridiculousness through witty tweets and photofiltered madness. Secondly , on the topic of the title of this post. Yes, this has to do with Chris Brown. His latest album, "Fortune" just dropped and it's definitely worth buying. He's an amazing singer, dancer and all around performer. I read so many reviews and all the authors would write abou...

Where I Belong

Image
Being a teenager is all about figuring out where you belong. Life puts you in so many different situations, with random people, and it's up to you to find a place where you fit in. Then there's that one thing, like what happens when you don't fit in. Is that a problem, and if so for who? As teens, we're open to differences, but when we are stubborn, stuck in our ways, and closed off - we're the craziest people on Earth. Whether you like it or not this is where I belong. One of the questions people asked me a lot when I was at school was if I felt comfortable. I always thought it was a weird question, but as the year went on I became more and more aware of what it meant to feel comfortable. The other day my brother asked me if I've been somewhere and felt that I totally belonged there. It was a deep question, coming from him (lol, JK) and I told him that one of the few places where I've ever completely felt safe, secure, and free to be my total self was ou...
