Top of the World
Being a teenager is all about the big changes in your life. They say that college is supposed to be the best years of your life. That may or may not be true for everybody. It's up to you to make the most of out of this unique situation. Whether you're choosing to get sick-schwasted each and every night, or hitting the movies with a group of friends, the choice is yours. If you actually want to remember these college nights, or piece together your wild night-life through epic stories from total strangers. It's the difference between cleaning vomit from and leg from the toilet, and playing ultimate frisbee on the green. College is a place where you have control over almost every single aspect of your life. It's your time now, and you're on top of the world.
You may have noticed that this blog has been upgraded lately. New headline (the "Goes College" part) and a new background. It's all for the new way that you can be informed on the daily trials and tribulations of teenage life. If you're looking for teenage advice, you've come to the right place, check the monthly archives for anything and everything adolescent. But if you're looking for advice for college, you've now also come to the perfect place. I'm no longer in high school, and it's time that this blog move on ahead with me. There's so much to write about, so much advice to give, and way too many funny things not to share. Instead of the daily format, it'll be a MWF type thing (I get out of class early in the afternoons), possibly with smaller updates in between. It's the same content, humor, advice, attitude, spunk and genuity that can't be compared to. Strap your seatbelts and prepare for the ride, because when I begin college, so do all of you. I'm on top of the world.
Being on top of the world means that you're having the time of your life. Teenagedom is about having fun, making memories, and doing what makes you happy, while you're still young, carefree and free of obligatory responsibilites. College and high school both are you time to define who you are, what you stand for, and discover what's important to you. It's a time to learn to not care what other people think about you, and figure out when to ignore and when to fight back. Hatorade sipping, mouth running, garbage spewing chickenhead crazies will try to come at you bro, but when you're on top the world nothing can bring you down. If you let every little thing that some says, how someone looks at you, or what people think of you, you can never live your life to the fullest. Teenagehood is about forgetting everybody else, dispelling the rumors, combatting haters and doing your own thing. It doesn't matter anyone's opinion of you, only your own self esteem about how you see yourself. I'm on top of the world and I ain't comin' down for nobody.
My blog post question for the day is ... what would you most want me to blog about in my college experience? I'm super excited for "Drunked Up" for dealing with underage drinking, wild parties, designated drivers and hung over friends.
